AASHTO holds its annual membership meeting November 15-18 in Louisville, with most
sessions at the Kentucky International Convention Center and the Wednesday sessions at the
Louisville Marriott Downtown. The program covers industry policy discussion, officer
business and the America's Transportation Awards presentation. Registration opened at the
end of July 2026.

## Why it matters for the data layer

Think of it as the policy weather report for state DOTs. Reauthorization posture, federal
data reporting expectations and AASHTO's technical service programs get framed in this
room first, and only later filter down into state specifications that vendors and agency
staff have to build against.

The attendance list is the reason. State DOT chief executives and senior leadership,
USDOT officials, AASHTO committee chairs and associate member vendors. If a reporting
requirement or a data program is about to change shape, the framing shows up here before
the paperwork does.
