APTA Mobility Conference 2027
APTA's annual bus and paratransit conference, at the Sheraton Grand Seattle, on the operating problems facing demand-response and bus systems.
APTA holds its annual bus and paratransit conference April 18-21, 2027 at the Sheraton Grand Seattle. The program works through the priorities and operating problems facing bus and paratransit systems by way of education sessions, workshops, and technical tours. The audience is agency staff and executives on the bus side, operations and scheduling managers, accessibility and ADA paratransit staff, and suppliers to the sector. No 2027 program is posted yet.
Why it matters for the data layer
Paratransit scheduling, demand-response technology, and flexible-service data models get discussed here by the people running them, not by the standards bodies writing them up. That gap is worth paying attention to: the reason a flexible-service data model succeeds or fails is usually an operational detail that never makes it into the specification document.
Seattle also helps. The host region carries a dense cluster of agencies doing open-data and trip-planner work, and that work usually turns up somewhere in the technical tour program.
