CASPT & Transit Data 2027
CASPT and the TRANSIT DATA workshop meet jointly at KTH in Stockholm, on models, methods and passive data for public transport.
KTH Royal Institute of Technology hosts CASPT June 21-24 in Stockholm, running the 17th International Conference on Advanced Systems in Public Transport jointly with the 12th TRANSIT DATA workshop on passive public transport data. The theme is “Intelligent Public Transport Systems for Sustainable and Resilient Cities.” Sessions cover models, methods, data and technology for public transport planning and operations.
Why it matters for the data layer
Research on automatic fare collection and AVL data gets done here, well before any of it reaches an agency planning tool. The 2027 edition is notable for the merge: CASPT’s operations planning and scheduling community sits alongside the passive-data people who ran TransitData 2026 in Toronto, and those two groups have historically published in different places.
This is a non-US event, so treat it as remote or partner coverage: read the program and the proceedings rather than planning a trip. The methods work is what travels, and it tends to show up in North American agency practice a few cycles later.
