IBTTA holds its Finance, RUC & Managed Lanes Summit June 13-15, 2027 at the Sheraton and Le
Meridien Charlotte hotel complex. This is the successor to the association's Finance and
Policy Summit, rebranded to put road usage charging and managed lanes in the title. Topics
span funding strategies, revenue and risk management, RUC implementation, managed lanes
operations and emerging technologies. IBTTA's page states that registration opens March 22,
2027.

## Why it matters for the data layer

Road usage charging carries the most unresolved data questions in road pricing. Odometer and
telematics mileage reporting, per-mile account management, reciprocity when a vehicle
crosses a state line, and what a program does with location data it did not need to collect
are all still open, and states are picking different answers.

The rename matters because it tells you where the industry thinks the revenue conversation
is going. Toll agency finance staff, state DOT revenue and policy people, RUC program
managers and the account management and mileage reporting vendors serving them now share
one national meeting for it.
