IBTTA holds its annual maintenance and roadway operations workshop July 18-20 at the Westin Houston Galleria, 5060 West Alabama in Houston. The program mixes general sessions with breakouts on maintenance operations, engineering, safety and emerging technologies. The IBTTA Foundation runs its annual service project alongside the workshop. Registration opens April 19, 2027.
Why it matters for the data layer
This is the operations end of the tolling beat, and it is less glamorous than IBTTA’s technology summits. It is also where the constraints get set: asset and work-order data, TMC integration, incident detection feeds, and the roadside equipment lifecycle that determines what a toll system can physically record and how clean that record is.
Expect lower data-and-technology density than IBTTA’s dedicated technology events. The emerging technologies breakouts are the part to watch, particularly anything on how maintenance systems and the toll back office share a picture of the same gantry.
