ITS California Annual Meeting 2026
ITS California's annual conference and exhibition on the technology layer of roads and transit, in Sacramento.
ITS California is the state chapter of the intelligent transportation systems community: the traffic engineers, agency staff, and vendors who work on the technology layer of roads and transit. Its 2026 Annual Meeting, formally the 31st Annual Conference & Exhibition, runs September 27-30 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
Why it matters for the data layer
This one sits close to the center of the beat. ITS is the whole subject: signal systems, traffic management centers, connected-vehicle work, tolling, and the data that ties them together. California runs one of the larger state chapters, and the annual meeting is where its DOT and local-agency staff compare notes with the companies that build the field hardware and software.
Three and a half days of technical sessions and an exhibit hall make it a working read on where roadway ITS is actually heading, not just where rider-facing transit data is going. For anyone tracking the standards and systems on the infrastructure side, it is a more relevant room than the transit-app shows.
