2026 Joint ITS Rocky Mountain and ITE Idaho Section Meeting
A one-day joint meeting of the ITS Rocky Mountain Chapter and the ITE Idaho Section at The Riverside Hotel in Boise.
The ITS Rocky Mountain Chapter holds its annual meeting on September 14 at The Riverside Hotel in Boise, Idaho, jointly with the ITE Idaho Section. It is a single day of sessions, panels and keynotes. The chapter’s call for abstracts named rural ITS, next-generation ITS tools, AI in ITS and operations, smart and connected cities, connected and automated vehicles, communications, data management and infrastructure, and freight and mobility.
Why it matters for the data layer
Rural and interstate-corridor ITS is a different problem from urban deployment. Backhaul is sparse, road-weather feeds carry more of the operational weight, and long-haul freight sets the terms. Very few chapter meetings put that at the center of the program instead of in a side track, and this one does.
The audience is the group that has to make it work: operations staff from the Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana DOTs, regional traffic engineers, and the consultants and vendors who build against their feeds. Early member registration closed on July 10, 2026.
