ITS World Congress 2026
The 32nd ITS World Congress, the global flagship for intelligent transportation systems, hosted in Gangneung, South Korea.
The ITS World Congress is the global flagship gathering for intelligent transportation systems. The 2026 edition, the 32nd, runs October 19-23 in Gangneung, South Korea, under the theme “Beyond Mobility, Connected World.” It is co-organized by ERTICO - ITS Europe, ITS Asia-Pacific, and ITS America, rotating to the Asia-Pacific region for the year.
Why it matters for the data layer
This is a non-US event, so for most of the ITS Feed audience it is a remote-coverage item rather than a trip. It still sets the international agenda for the field the site tracks: connected and automated driving, smart infrastructure, mobility services, and the data governance underneath them.
The program leans toward the vehicle and infrastructure side of ITS, so the data-layer signal is in the sessions on interoperability, standards, and AI systems. Watch what comes out of Gangneung for where the global standards conversation is heading, then map it back to what US agencies actually deploy.
