The North American Bikeshare and Scootershare Association holds its 2026 annual conference October 6-8 at The Westin Cincinnati, at 21 East 5th Street. It draws shared micromobility operators, city agencies, equipment makers and service providers, and the organizer bills it as the leading global venue for the sector. The theme this year is “Together We Ride,” and the format runs plenaries, educational sessions and mobile workshops.
Why it matters for the data layer
Shared micromobility is the corner of transportation where open specifications became regulatory instruments fastest, and this is where that gets argued out. Permit conditions, data-sharing requirements and reporting expectations are the practical subject matter: what a city can demand through GBFS, what MDS obliges an operator to hand over, and what happens when a system changes vendors mid-permit.
