NACTO Designing Cities Conference 2027
NACTO's 15th annual Designing Cities Conference in Nashville, the main gathering for city transportation department staff.
NACTO holds its 15th annual Designing Cities Conference on May 11-16 in Nashville. It is the association’s main gathering for city transportation department staff, with programming across street design practice, curb management, safety and the data cities use to run and evaluate their networks. NACTO says registration information will be posted in late 2026. The venue is not yet published.
Why it matters for the data layer
Municipal practice standards get set in this crowd, and NACTO’s curb, bike and transit street guidance shapes what cities end up collecting and publishing about their own streets. A design guide that assumes an inventory implies someone has to build the inventory.
Curb data specification and policy conversations have historically run through these rooms, which is reason enough for a data-layer reader to watch the program when it posts. Treat the 2027 listing as provisional until registration opens: the dates here come from an archived copy of NACTO’s own conference page rather than a live fetch.
