NYPTA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo
New York's statewide transit gathering, opening October 18 at the Syracuse On Center with an expo floor for member agencies.
The New York Public Transit Association opens its annual conference and expo on October 18 at the Syracuse On Center, with the Marriott Syracuse Downtown as the conference hotel. NYPTA calls it the largest gathering of public transportation managers and professionals in New York State. The closing day is not yet published, and no session-level program was posted when we checked.
Why it matters for the data layer
New York’s upstate systems plus the MTA operating companies put more transit technology buyers in one state than almost anywhere else in the country, and the expo floor is where the fare collection, CAD/AVL and real-time information vendors serving them show up in person.
Statewide association meetings tend to be where procurement questions get asked bluntly, away from the national trade-show pitch. If you want to know which upstate agencies are actually replacing a farebox or a scheduling system next year, this is the room where someone says so out loud.
